The old ZXR400

Take one boring - run of the mill. Black ZXR400H1....
Strip it
Do all the good stuff to the engine (SP), carbs (SP)....
exhaust (Laser), rear swingarm (7X6R), rear shock (7X6R).....
Sand....sand.....sand.....then undercoat......sand.....undercoat 2.....sand.....undercoat 3....
Sort out the front guard, forks.........
Sand undercoat 3, top coat 1........
.....sand.....top coat 2.....
....sand.....top coat 3.......
.....clear coat 1.......
clear coat 2........
Sort all essentail parts and get the bike legal while the paint dries....
Change indicators.......
.....start fitting the rear first (it protects a few things - like your legs from electrical shock)
ensure all cables and lines are rerouted to safe places.
good time to lube change and/or change sprokets etc

Check all wiring for front end.....

re-attach rest of fairings......add new air rams
....add frost effect to screen....

Voila!

And several years later - track down the new owner, check job.
Still good 5 years later - not bad considering done with Dulux aerosol cans.....
